Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms (WWOOF) links visitors with organic farmers, promotes an educational and cultural exchange and builds a global community conscious of ecological farming practices.

WWOOF was founded in 1971 and is one of the world’s first educational and cultural exchange programs. Today, WWOOF is in more than 132 countries around the world (and growing).

WWOOF Belgium is the national organization helping to create local WWOOFing opportunities in Belgium and to promote sustainable farming as a lifestyle.

Visitors, or 'WWOOFers', share in daily life with their host and learn about organic agriculture, while spending about half of each day helping out on a farm.

Our week in Groentegem was awesome. Laura and Bengt were so kind and generous. We never felt unconfortable. During the week, we did harvesting, planting, weeding, picking off bugs. It was both educational and fun experience. The location good to sightseeing and exploring the surrounding area. We loved there so much, hope to come back there again!

Merci à Colette et à Vincent de m’avoir accueillis dans leurs ferme. Une super expérience que je recommande au autres woofeurs à venir ! C’est vraiment le paradis ! J’ai appris énormément de chose sur la ferme et les soins à faire au moutons . Pour ceux ou celle interessé par les animaux, il seront servis ! Une belle découverte pour ma part que je recommande !

Notre séjour chez Vert N a été mémorable. Bernard et Yaëlle sont des hôtes attentionnées avec qui la discussion est facile et agréable. Pour ce qui est de l'expérience dans les champs, ils ont une terre et un site enchanteur, ma fille et moi avons pu approfondir nos connaissances dans le domaine et à notre rythme. Les journées sont passées tellement rapidement. Notre séjour à Dion est un point culminant de notre voyage en Belgique. Je vous remercie pour cette belle expérience.

J'ai passé deux magnifiques semaines, accueillie par une famille géniale ! Je me suis directement sentie comme à la maison. Les tâches/activités sont variées, on passe sur la même journée des moments avec les chevaux, dans le potager, aux ruches, etc. Ils ont tout fait pour me faire decouvrir de nouvelles choses, j'ai appris énormément. Je repars pleine d'énergie pour mes futurs projets après nos conversations inspirantes. En tout cas, merci pour tout. Pour les chouettes moments passés ensemble, pour votre bienveillance, votre pédagogie et votre enthousiasme. À très vite !

Fred is a very kind and open person. I spent one morning on the farm picking cherries, but I did not spend the night. The community at the orchard was kind and welcoming. It was a nice social and agricultural experience! Merci everyone :)

I really appreciate the opportunity to live in the countryside of Belgium. Spending time here has been a truly valuable experience for me, not only because of the beautiful environment and peaceful atmosphere, but also because of the people I had the chance to meet along the way. Living away from busy cities allowed me to experience a different lifestyle, one that feels more connected to nature, community, and everyday simplicity. I am especially grateful to Virginie, the host, who welcomed me so warmly from the very beginning. She did not simply treat me as a guest, but as a genuine part of the team. J'ai passé une semaine fantastique auprès de fanny, maraichère à Lierneux. Un grand merci pour son accueil chaleureux et confortable dans sa famille. Mais également pour sa confiance, elle m'a laisser accomplir des tâches au potager, j'ai appris beaucoup d'astuces sur les différentes plantes du potager, la manière d'entretenir, de semer, d'arroser :)). Fanny est très généreuse en conseil, en explication sur sa manière de pratiquer. De plus c'est une très belle région encore fort verte et naturelle. En un mot "Fabuleux", merci.

Jai vécu là-bas une belle expérience. Quel endroit impressionnant et paisible à la fois, le terrain est magnifique, rempli de fleurs et de plantes. C'est là que j'ai travaillé principalement au potager/à la serre. J'y ai appris pas mal de choses. J'ai reçu un très bon accueil des habitants du lieu. Une chose est sûre, on ne s'y sent jamais seul !
