Hello Wwoofer !
We are Bengt and Laura, and the little twins Ole and Ibe. We grow organic vegetables and herbs on 1.2ha land near Ghent. We grow the known vegetables, but also a lot of special varieties. About 220 people come to harvest their own vegetables every week. We work according to the principles of "community supported agriculture".
We do not do all the work alone. We are helped by our customers, interns, friends, volunteers,... We like to have fun on our field !
Before we had the farm, we worked on several farms at home and abroad. During our trip to New Zealand we did a lot of wwoofing. We liked this so much that we now also like to welcome wwoofers at our farm.
What can you expect from us?
The activities depend on the season and the weather. But expect planting, seeding, weeding, harvesting, crop care, field maintenance, .... We love to teach you how to grow vegetables !
We also like to cook in the evening and enjoy our harvest.
The farm is at 8km from the cosy centre of Ghent. We have bikes and there is a bus to visit the city. Also to the station of Ghent there is a smooth bus connection. From here you can quickly travel to cities like Bruges and Brussels or to the coast. From the farm you can make bicycle trips along the canals, all the way to Bruges or the Netherlands if you like.

Nous sommes Bengt et Laura, et les petits jumeaux Ole et Ibe. Nous cultivons des légumes et des herbes aromatiques biologiques sur un terrain de 1,2 ha près de Gand. Nous cultivons les légumes connus, mais aussi beaucoup de variétés spéciales. Environ 220 personnes viennent récolter leurs propres légumes chaque semaine. Nous travaillons selon les principes de "l'agriculture soutenue par la communauté" (CSA).
Nous ne faisons pas tout le travail seuls. Nous sommes aidés par nos clients, stagiaires, amis, bénévoles,... Nous aimons nous amuser sur notre terrain !
Avant d'avoir la ferme, nous avons travaillé dans plusieurs exploitations agricoles dans le pays et à l'étranger. Pendant notre voyage en Nouvelle-Zélande, nous avons fait beaucoup de wwoofing. Nous avons tellement aimé cela que nous aimons maintenant aussi accueillir les wwoofers dans notre ferme.
Que pouvez-vous attendre de nous ?
Les activités dépendent de la saison et du temps. Mais attendez-vous à de la plantation, l'ensemencement, le désherbage, la récolte, le soin des cultures, l'entretien des champs, ..... Nous aimons vous apprendre à faire pousser des légumes !
Nous aimons aussi cuisiner le soir et profiter de notre récolte.
La ferme se trouve à 8 km de l'agréable centre de Gand. Nous avons des vélos et il y a un bus pour visiter la ville. La gare de Gand est également bien desservie par les bus. De là, vous pouvez vous rendre rapidement dans des villes comme Bruges et Bruxelles ou sur la côte. Depuis la ferme, vous pouvez faire des excursions à vélo le long des canaux, jusqu'à Bruges ou aux Pays-Bas si vous le souhaitez.

Dag Wwoofer !
Wij zijn Bengt en Laura, en de kleine tweeling Ole en Ibe. Wij telen biologische groenten en kruiden op 1,2ha grond vlakbij Gent. We telen de bekende groenten, maar ook een heleboel speciale soorten. Ongeveer 220 mensen komen iedere week zelf hun groenten oogsten. We werken volgens de principes van « community supported agriculture « .
Al het werk doen we niet alleen. We worden geholpen door onze klanten, stagiaires, vrienden, vrijwilligers,... Wij houden van gezelligheid op ons veld !
Voor we de boerderij hadden, hebben wij meegewerkt op verschillende boerderijen in binnen en buitenland. Tijdens onze reis naar Nieuw-Zeeland hebben we veel gewwooft. Dit vonden we zo leuk dat we nu ook graag wwoofers bij ons op de boerderij verwelkomen.
Wat kan je bij ons verwachten ?
Het werk is afhankelijk van het seizoen en het weer. Maar verwacht je aan planten, zaaien, wieden, oogsten, gewassen verzorgen, onderhoud van het veld ,... Wij leren je graag hoe je groenten teelt !
Verder houden we ervan 's avonds lekker te koken en te genieten van onze oogst.
De boerderij is op 8km van het gezellige centrum van Gent. We hebben fietsen en er is een bus om de stad te bezoeken. Ook naar het station van Gent is er een vlotte busverbinding. Van hieruit reis je snel naar steden als Brugge en Brussel of naar de kust. Vanaf de boerderij kan je fietstochten maken langs de kanalen, helemaal naar Brugge of Nederland als je dat wil.

Hello Wwoofer !
Wir sind Bengt und Laura, und die kleinen Zwillinge Ole und Ibe. Wir bauen auf 1,2 ha Land in der Nähe von Gent biologisches Gemüse und Kräuter an. Wir bauen die bekannten Gemüsesorten an, aber auch viele spezielle Sorten. Etwa 220 Menschen kommen jede Woche, um ihr eigenes Gemüse zu ernten. Wir arbeiten nach den Prinzipien der "Community Supported Agriculture".
Wir machen die ganze Arbeit nicht allein. Wir werden unterstützt von unseren Kunden, Praktikanten, Freunden, Freiwilligen,... Wir haben gerne Spaß auf unserem Gebiet!
Bevor wir den Hof hatten, arbeiteten wir auf mehreren Bauernhöfen im In- und Ausland. Während unseres Aufenthalts in Neuseeland haben wir viel Wwoofing betrieben. Es hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir jetzt auch gerne Wwoofer bei uns aufnehmen.
Was können Sie von uns erwarten?
Die Arbeit hängt von der Jahreszeit und dem Wetter ab. Aber erwarten Sie Pflanzung, Aussaat, Unkrautbekämpfung, Ernte, Pflanzenpflege, Feldpflege, .... Wir bringen Ihnen gerne bei, wie man Gemüse anbaut!
Wir kochen auch gerne am Abend und genießen unsere Ernte.
Der Hof liegt 8 km vom gemütlichen Zentrum von Gent entfernt. Wir haben Fahrräder und es gibt einen Bus, um die Stadt zu besuchen. Auch zum Bahnhof von Gent gibt es eine gute Busverbindung. Von hier aus können Sie schnell in Städte wie Brügge und Brüssel oder an die Küste reisen. Vom Bauernhof aus können Sie Fahrradtouren entlang der Grachten machen, bis nach Brügge oder in die Niederlande, wenn Sie möchten.

My one-week stay with Laura and Bengt in Aug 2025 was my first experience as a WWOOFer, and indeed a perfect introduction, having the chance to do varieties of farm work, like planting seedlings, collecting seeds from flowers, harvesting vegetables and fruits, weeding etc. And great that I could even taste the extremely fresh and sweet tomatoes and water melons harvested! And also could help and join in the wonderful annual farm festival coincidentally held in their farm during my stay.
Many thanks to Laura and Bengt also sharing with me how their organic farm operated as a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), which is completely new to me back in my hometown. I also met some very nice workers/helpers/volunteers in the farm and they shared a lot of their farm work experiences with me too.
My stay was absolutely enjoyable and I highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone wanting a try in farming or looking to learn more about organic farming and connect with its people.

Our stay with Laura and Bengt was our first experience as WWOOFers, and we couldn't have asked for a better introduction. The activities were incredibly diverse, each one designed to give us a thorough understanding of how an organic farm operates. Laura and Bengt enriched our experience by sharing precious advice and knowledge that we can apply to our small-scale cultivation at home. The place itself is enchanting, with a special charm that makes it truly unique. The fact that the farm operates as a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) only adds to the richness of the experience. We highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone looking to learn, grow, and connect with the land and its people.

Mon séjour chez Bengt et Laura fut des plus plaisant! La passion qu'ils ont pour leur activité est remarquable et fait que vos journées seront remplies d'activitées différentes. Désherbage, plantation, maintenance des cultures sont au programme (avec tout de même une grande partie de désherbage). Attendez-vous à tout de même beaucoup travailler les jours de travail avec un horaire de type bureau (c'est-à-dire 8h-17h avec une pause d'une heure à midi). Vous ne vous sentirez pas seul étant donné que des travailleurs réguliés viennent vous aider durant la journée. Même si les journées étaient fatiguantes, l'expérience n'en était pas moins des plus enrichissante. De plus, la région est magnifique à visiter à vélo entre les champs et les canaux (à ajouter que la ville de Gand n'est qu'à 8km et vous réserve plein de belle choses). Si je devais faire ressortir une qualité de la ferme, c'est les notions de maréchage que Bengt et Laura vous instruiront!
