ENGLISH The Ferme des Arondes is a collective, diversified, agroecological farm. It is located between Arbre and Saint-Gérard, in the commune of Profondeville. The farm currently comprises a main building, former stables and 40 hectares of meadows and farmland. In April and May 2022, a major fund-raising campaign enabled us to acquire the farm in collaboration with Terre-en-Vue. Our collective of 6 producers is gradually setting up production and processing activities (fruit, vegetables, breads, cheeses, mushrooms, etc.) to supply the region's inhabitants with good produce! As part of our Wwoofing program, we offer you the opportunity to - join a team and a collective dynamic made up of several producers with varied experience: Camille is a baker and is gradually developing cereal and flour production, Sébastien has been a diversified market gardener, Benoît has been producing 6 types of mushrooms since 2015, he is experimenting with substrate production and will also diversify his activity by planting nuts on the farm (chestnut and hazelnut trees), Simon, a fruit tree grower, Claire, a wicker specialist and Nils, a chicken master, are also arriving on the farm to carry out their project in 2025. - take part in different production activities depending on the season, current needs and your motivations: market gardening (sowing, transplanting, harvesting, maintenance, soil fertility management, moving greenhouses...), baking (making sourdough bread, loading wood for the oven, crop monitoring...), field crops, mushroom production and substrate, harvesting and processing wild plants, helping new projects get off the ground... - discover the stages and challenges involved in setting up a farm and taking over a 40-hectare farm that was historically conventional and gradually becoming agroecological. We welcome you to the farm in the main building, which we also use as our HQ. The farm is lively and productive, so there's plenty of traffic from producers and their adorable children. Elle est située entre Arbre et Saint-Gérard, sur la commune de Profondeville. Cette ferme est actuellement composée d'un corps de logis, d'anciennes étables, et de 40 hectares de prairies et terres cultivées. En avril et mai 2022, une grande levée de fonds a permis d'acquérir la ferme en collaboration avec Terre-en-Vue. Notre collectif, composé de 6 producteur·ices, y installent progressivement ses activités de production et transformation (fruits, légumes, pains, fromages, champignons...) en vue d'approvisionner les habitant·es de la région avec de bons produits ! Dans le cadre du Wwoofing nous vous proposons donc en synthèse : - intégrer une équipe et une dynamique collective composée de plusieurs producteur·ices aux expériences variées : Camille est boulangère et petit à petit développe le volet production de céréale et meunerie, Sébastien est maraîcher diversifié depuis, Benoît produit 6 types de champignons depuis 2015, il expérimente la production de substrat et va aussi diversifier son activité par la plantation de fruits à coque sur la ferme (châtaigniers et noisetiers), Simon, producteurs d'arbres fruitiers, Claire, spécialiste de l'osier et Nils, maître des poulets, arrivent aussi sur la ferme pour y mener à bien leur projet en 2025. - participer à différentes activités de production en fonction de la saison, des besoins du moment et de vos motivations : maraîchage (semis, repiquage, récoltes, entretien, gestion fertilité du sol, déplacement des serres...), boulangerie (confection des pains au levain, charge bois pour le four, suivis des cultures,...), grandes cultures, production de champignons et de leur substrat, récolte et transformation de plantes sauvages, aide à l'installation des nouveaux projets... - découvrir les étapes et challenges d'une installation agricole et de la reprise d'une ferme de 40 hectares historiquement conventionnelle pour devenir petit à petit agroécologique. À la ferme, nous vous accueillons, dans le corps de logis que nous utilisons aussi comme QG. La ferme est vivante et productive, il y a donc du passage de producteurs et de leurs adorables enfants. Het ligt tussen Arbre en Saint-Gérard, in de gemeente Profondeville. De boerderij bestaat momenteel uit een hoofdgebouw, oude stallen en 40 hectare weiden en landbouwgrond. In april en mei 2022 heeft een grote inzamelingsactie ons in staat gesteld om de boerderij aan te kopen in samenwerking met Terre-en-Vue. Ons collectief van 6 producenten zet geleidelijk zijn productie- en verwerkingsactiviteiten op (fruit, groenten, brood, kaas, paddenstoelen, enz.) om de inwoners van de regio van goede producten te voorzien! In het kader van ons Wwoofing-programma bieden we je de kans om - deel uit te maken van een team en een collectieve dynamiek bestaande uit verschillende producenten met uiteenlopende ervaring: Camille is bakker en ontwikkelt geleidelijk de productie van granen en meel, Sébastien is een gediversifieerde tuinder, Benoît produceert sinds 2015 6 soorten paddenstoelen, hij experimenteert met de productie van substraten en gaat ook zijn activiteit diversifiëren door noten te planten op de boerderij (kastanje- en hazelnootbomen), Simon, een fruitboomkweker, Claire, een rieten specialist en Nils, een kippenmeester, komen ook naar de boerderij om hun project in 2025 te voltooien. - deelnemen aan verschillende productieactiviteiten, afhankelijk van het seizoen, de huidige behoeften en je motivatie: tuinieren (zaaien, uitplanten, oogsten, onderhoud, beheer van bodemvruchtbaarheid, verplaatsen van kassen, enz.), bakken (zuurdesembrood maken, hout laden voor de oven, gewasbewaking, enz.), veldteelten, paddenstoelenproductie en hun substraat, wilde planten oogsten en verwerken, nieuwe projecten van de grond helpen, enz. - ontdek de fases en uitdagingen die komen kijken bij het opzetten van een boerderij en het overnemen van een boerderij van 40 hectare die van oudsher conventioneel was en geleidelijk aan agro-ecologisch wordt. We heten je welkom op de boerderij in het hoofdgebouw, dat we ook gebruiken als ons hoofdkwartier. De boerderij is levendig en productief, dus er is veel verkeer van producenten en hun schattige kinderen. Er befindet sich zwischen Arbre und Saint-Gérard in der Gemeinde Profondeville. Der Hof besteht derzeit aus einem Hauptgebäude, ehemaligen Stallungen und 40 Hektar Wiesen und Ackerland. Im April und Mai 2022 wurde der Hof durch eine große Spendenaktion in Zusammenarbeit mit Terre-en-Vue erworben. Unser Kollektiv, bestehend aus 6 Produzentinnen und Produzenten, richtet dort nach und nach seine Produktions- und Verarbeitungsaktivitäten (Obst, Gemüse, Brot, Käse, Pilze...) ein, um die Bewohnerinnen und Bewohner der Region mit guten Produkten zu versorgen! Im Rahmen des Wwoofing bieten wir Ihnen eine Zusammenfassung an: - Integration in ein Team und eine kollektive Dynamik, die sich aus mehreren Produzenten mit unterschiedlichen Erfahrungen zusammensetzt: Camille ist Bäckerin und baut nach und nach die Getreideproduktion und Müllerei aus, Sébastien ist seither diversifizierter Gemüsebauer, Benoît produziert seit 2015 sechs verschiedene Pilzsorten, experimentiert mit der Substratproduktion und wird seine Tätigkeit auch durch das Anpflanzen von Nüssen auf dem Hof (Kastanien und Haselnüsse) diversifizieren, Simon, Obstbaumproduzent, Claire, Korbflechterin, und Nils, Hühnermeister, kommen ebenfalls auf den Hof, um dort 2025 ihre Projekte zu verwirklichen. - je nach Jahreszeit, aktuellem Bedarf und Motivation an verschiedenen Produktionsaktivitäten teilnehmen: Gemüseanbau (Aussaat, Umpflanzen, Ernte, Pflege, Verwaltung der Bodenfruchtbarkeit, Versetzen der Gewächshäuser...), Bäckerei (Herstellung von Sauerteigbroten, Holzladung für den Ofen, Überwachung der Kulturen...), Ackerbau, Pilzproduktion und -substrat, Ernte und Verarbeitung von Wildpflanzen, Hilfe bei der Einrichtung neuer Projekte... - die Etappen und Herausforderungen einer landwirtschaftlichen Niederlassung und der Übernahme eines 40 Hektar großen Bauernhofs, der historisch konventionell bewirtschaftet wurde und nach und nach agroökologisch wird, kennen lernen. Auf dem Bauernhof heißen wir Sie willkommen, im Haupthaus, das wir auch als Hauptquartier nutzen. Der Hof ist lebendig und produktiv, daher gibt es hier viel Durchgangsverkehr von Erzeugern und ihren süßen Kindern. I spent a great week on Ferme des Arondes in August. Although I only worked in the market gardening, there was a lot of variety in the work: e.g. planting, working on the irrigation system, some weeding and harvesting a lot of different vegetables. Sébastien is a kind and relaxed person, and explained everything to me in English. Also the other people on the farm are very welcoming, there is a happy atmosphere and it's a good place to practice your French ;) We usually had lunch all together, and breakfast and dinner to prepare yourself with everything provided. The heat this week and the physical work for 6-8 hours a day were sometimes tiring, but I could always take a (longer) break or switch tasks if wanted. And in the weekend I had the opportunity to explore the beautiful surroundings by bike and foot. Merci pour la bonne expérience!
